Here's what we will cover over the 4 days?
Each day you will need to commit around 30 minutes:
~10 minutes watching a short live video (replay available)
~20 minutes completing a simple worksheet in a spreadsheet
Everything is designed to be simple and easy to follow.
Day 1 – January Income
Work out how much money actually came into your business in January
(not what you invoiced or hoped for but what was paid).
Day 2 – Fixed & Variable Expenses
Separate your regular monthly costs from the expenses linked to delivering your service,
so you can clearly see where your money goes.
Day 3 – January Profit
Bring it all together to see exactly how much profit your business made in January.
Day 4 – Time & Reality Check
Estimate how much time you spent delivering your services in January
and calculate a rough hourly rate so that you can reflect on whether or not your business is supporting you.
By the end of the challenge, you’ll have a clear, honest picture of how your business performed in January and have a starting point for how to move forward.
How the Simple Finance Reset works
The challenge takes place in a private Facebook group.
Each morning there will be a short live video (at 6:30am)
Replays are available, so you can catch up in your own time
You’ll receive a simple spreadsheet with 4 tabs - one for each day
There will be:
- a daily questions thread
- a daily check-in thread to share insights (not numbers)
You’ll also receive WhatsApp and email reminders so you always know what’s happening and when.
A few things you should know before you join
- You don’t need to be good with numbers
- You don’t need perfect records
- You don’t need special software or spreadsheets
- You don’t need to share your figures with anyone
- You can use exact numbers if you have them, but rough estimates are absolutely fine.
This challenge is about awareness and understanding, not about getting everything “right”.
If you can give around 30 minutes a day, that’s enough.
